Our Policies


 

Compassionate Care Animal Hospital operates by appointment only. If your pet is having a medical emergency, please call us first to ensure availability. If we are unable to accommodate your pet’s emergency, we may refer you to one of the top-grade emergency clinics in the area.

 

Scheduling Appointments

You can schedule your pet’s appointment by phone, email, online request or in person. We always recommend booking in advance, especially routine visits, to ensure availability.

 

Arrival time

To provide the best care possible and ensure a smooth experience of all our patients and clients, we kindly ask that you arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. This allows adequate time for check-in, updating records, and addressing any preliminary questions or concerns.

 

Late Arrivals

Clients arriving more than 10 minutes late may be asked to reschedule, especially if it impacts other scheduled appointments. In some cases, we may offer a drop-off appointment or work you in as a work in/emergency, depending on doctor availability. Additional fees may apply.

 

Cancellations

We kindly ask that you give us a 24-hour notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. This allows us to accommodate other pets in need of seeing the veterinarian.

 

No-Shows

  • Missed appointments without prior notice may be subject to pay a $60 deposit when rescheduling the next appointment. This deposit will go towards your next office visit and is not an additional cost. If you no show to the rescheduled appointment that you put a deposit down for, you are then forfeiting your deposit and it will not be returned to you or applied to your next appointment.
  • If you no show twice we will require you to only schedule, drop off exams. This is where you would drop your pet off in the morning with us and the doctor will perform the exam in between appointments or during our surgical hours.
  • Once the exam is completed the doctor will have a technician contact you with their findings and will give you a pick-up time.
  • If you are chronically no showing we do reserve the right to no longer see your pet as a patient and we will forward your records to your email to find a different clinic to establish care at.

  

Drop-off Appointments

For your convenience, drop off exams are available. If you are unable to schedule an appointment due to scheduling conflicts, you can request a drop off appointment. All drop off appointments scheduled must drop off before 11:00am to allow ample amount of time for the doctor to see your pet in between scheduled appointments and surgical procedures. Once the doctor has examined your pet, they will have a technician call you with their findings and will then schedule a pick-up time.

  

Patient Arrival

For the safety of our clients, we require all pets to be leashed or crated upon their arrival. If you do not have a leash or crate, please let us know and we will provide you with one for the duration of your appointment.

We understand not every pet is as excited as we are to be here. They may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. We understand each pet has their own individual personalities and that many pets prefer the company of their people rather than other pets. If your pet is reactive or dog aggressive, please let us know prior to coming to your appointment and we will make sure to accommodate your pets needs to avoid any unnecessary stress.

  

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, cash and personal checks. We also accept Care Credit and All Pet Card.
